 Clinical Hypnotherapy In Stafford, Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire Over 25 Years NHS Experience David Woolley RGN RMN D.Hyp PDCHyp MNLP MBSCH MAC I guess the first thing you would like to do is check out who I am and get to know a little more about me. I provide hypnotherapy services in Stafford, Stoke on Trent and surrounding areas.
This is a short resume of my relevent experience and if you require more information please check the other pages as this may contain exactly the information you are looking for.
I have over 25 years health care experience gained both within the NHS and in the private sector. I qualified as a Registered Nurse and then, following post graduate training, also qualified as a Psychiatric Nurse. I spent a number of years working in various clinical roles within the NHS including the training of student nurses and also as an examiner for the General Nursing Council for England and Wales.
My Hypnotherapy training
My initial Hypnotherapy training was with the highly respected London College of Clinical Hypnosis. I obtained a Certificate and Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and also the advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Practice. I also hold the post of Tutor and Clinical supervisor for the LCCH and am actively involved in the training of student Hypnotherapists at the University of Central England in Birmingham. I am a full member of The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and am bound by their codes of ethical practice and agree to provide a professional and confidential service at all times.
I also have extensive commercial experience gained within large multi-national organisations. My experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Management and Training enable me to assist clients who experience difficulties associated with competitive and stressful working environments.
Combining my clinical and commercial experience along with Hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic-Programming) allows me to provide my clients with a results focused approach for a wide range of conditions.
There is a tremendous difference in the styles and approaches of different therapists, as a member of the BSCH (British Society of Clinical Hypnosis) I am not tied to any one particular method. I use an eclectic approach keeping up to date with all the latest developments in both Hypnotherapy and NLP.
Where appropriate I use a combination of Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, NLP and Coaching. For those of you familiar with broad therapy terms I go for a blend of behavioural and cognitive approaches only using more time consuming analytical methods where appropriate.
I believe in working as quickly and effectively as possible for my clients, rather than convincing them they will have to return week after week.
I support the principle of "Goal orientated therapy". In other words you state clearly at the outset what you would ideally like to achieve or change and that is what we work towards, rather than labouring over many weeks to uncover or re-live past traumas and blockages.
